The Children’s Fun Day
Kamwokya is a rich residential location of Kampala and yet the photos are the true reality of the children growing in below poverty slump area under its nose. Charities have struggled to feed hundreds of children.
In the West, children end up with expensive and momentary gifts around Christmas. The Kampala Central Gombolola decided to make ‘Fun Day’ on Sunday, the 13th December, 2015.
On the day, over 400 children were invited to have fun with games, rides, competitions and have food and drinks. A gift to take away was provided to every child.
Truly, it was a fun day!
Several meetings were held between all stakeholders to ensure the day is really enjoyable for the children. Number of suppliers contributed with food & drinks. All four ‘Father Christmas’ were getting popular with the children as they moved with pockets full of sweets, chocolates, etc to give away.
